At Braces for All Ages in Hebron and Portage, we believe there’s no age limit when it comes to having a great smile. The impact a healthy smile has throughout your life is incredible. A new smile at Braces for All Ages is about more than just straight teeth; it’s about creating a smile that enhances the natural beauty of each individual face. Our thorough analysis of the profile is combined with the plan to move the teeth, all with the end result in mind to optimize the individual’s appearance. We rarely remove adult teeth, which can flatten the patient’s profile and age the face. We make adult smiles that adolescents grown into, not adolescent smiles that adults grow out of.

Meet Our Doctor
Dr. Brenda’s passion for orthodontics is the driving force behind her practice and touches everyone who comes in the door. She had very crooked teeth as a child and she knows how having braces changed her life and having a great smile gave her more confidence. She always strives to do the same for her patients!
Dr. Brenda graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree and completed her Orthodontic Postgraduate Residency at Indiana University School of Dentistry in Indianapolis.
Dr. Brenda was born in Jasper and moved to northwest Indiana in 1991, following her college graduation. Dr. Brenda was an associate of a large orthodontic group for three years prior to opening her own practice, Braces for All Ages, in 1994.
Dr. Brenda has two beautiful daughters: Isabella and Alana. She often says that being a mother has given her a whole new perspective on orthodontics and is honored by the trust that has been placed in her hands by every parent. In addition to spending time with her family and watching Alana swim, and Isabella play volleyball and sing, Dr. Brenda enjoys being outside working in her flower garden, boating on the lake, waterskiing and going shopping
Meet Our Staff
Jennifer Scott
Braces for All Ages, PC-1998
Jennifer is the Business Manager at Braces for All Ages, PC and has been a member of our team since 1998. As the Business Manager, Jen handles all aspects of management for the practice.
Jen is licensed in Dental Radiography, CPR Certified and a member of the American Association of Orthodontics.
At the age of 21 Jen had the experience of having braces by Dr. Brenda, creating the smile that she has today. “When my braces were taken off, it felt as if I had plastic surgery in the sense that the change in my smile was so dramatic! It was the best feeling and I owe it all to Dr. Brenda.”
In 2003 Jen married her high school sweetheart, Jason. Together they have two daughters, Sydney and Avery. She loves spending time with Jason experiencing the world once again through the eyes of their daughters.
Kellie Gray
Braces for All Ages, PC-2005
Kellie is the Professional Relations Coordinator at Braces for All Ages, PC and has been a member of our team since 2005. As PRC, Kellie manages all aspects of marketing and
works at our front desk greeting patients as they arrive to our office.
Kellie has a Bachelors Degree in Business and is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics.
At the age of 40, Kellie was a patient of Dr. Brenda’s. She was very excited to have treatment as an adult; she always wanted braces as a child.
Kellie has four children, two grandchildren and two Dobermans that she also considers her babies! In her spare time she enjoys working out, Crossfit and spending time at home.
Jessica Bellamy
Braces for All Ages, PC-2008
Jessica is a Treatment Coordinator at Braces for All Ages, PC and has been a member of our team since 2008. As a Treatment Coordinator, Jessica handles all aspects of the new patient process. She meets with patients at their first visit, the consultation. Jessica takes the x-rays and digital photos on each patient and coordinates treatment along side of Dr. Brenda.
Jessica is a CPR certified, licensed in Dental Radiography and a member of the American Association of Orthodontics.
As a teenager, Jessica was treated with traditional braces. Jessica later had Invisalign and eventually was treated by Dr. Brenda with Damon System braces. “I absolutely love the result of my Damon smile!”
Jessica is married to her best friend, Rob and together they have one terrific daughter, Jocelyn, son in law Brock and the sweetest grandbaby Miss Beatrice. They love having fun family days together, watching sports and kayaking, sailing and just hanging out at their home at Bass Lake in the summer.
Alicia Ciesielski
Braces for All Ages, PC-2011
Alicia is our Clinical Coordinator here at Braces for All Ages, PC and has been a member of our team since 2011. As Clinical Coordinator, Alicia handles all aspects of managing the clinic to ensure all patients get the best quality treatment and that our days run smoothly.
Alicia is CPR certified, licensed in Dental Radiography, graduated from IUN’s Dental Assisting Program and a member of the American Association of Orthodontics.
Alicia loves making lasting relationships with her patients and helping Dr. Brenda and Dr. Milena give them the best smile possible.
In 2015 Alicia married her best friend Aaron. They have two of the sweetest little girls, Harper and Hadley. Some of her favorite things to do are spending time with her family, going on walks with her dogs, and crafting.
Madison has been a member of the Braces for All Ages team since June 2020. Madison was initially hired to manage our patient flow with new COVID restrictions in place. She has developed her role into becoming our Sterilization Technician at our Hebron location and our Front Desk assistant in Portage.
Mary Adler
Braces for All Ages, PC-2006
Mary is the Financial Coordinator at Braces for All Ages, PC and has been a member of our team since 2006. As our Financial Coordinator, Mary handles all aspects of patient accounts and contracts. Mary also leads our Improvements Team in keeping our office up-to-date to provide the best environment for our patients.
Mary is CPR Certified and a member of the American Association of Orthodontics.
At the age of 35, Mary experienced having braces by Dr. Brenda. Before braces, Mary hardly smiled. Now she always has a smile from ear to ear! She feels Dr. Brenda gave her the confidence she has today.
Mary enjoys spending time with her family and friends…..especially her husband Glenn and two sons, Joe and Jeff. She also enjoys traveling and going to White Sox and Blackhawks games!
Samantha Toth
Braces for All Ages, PC-2015
Samantha is a Patient Manager at Braces for All Ages, PC and has been a member of our team since 2015. As a Patient Manager, Samantha handles all aspects of giving patients the best quality care.
Samantha is CPR certified, licensed in Dental Radiography, graduated from Olympia Dental Program and is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics.
Samantha loves working with Dr. Brenda and Dr. Milena to create beautiful smiles that will last a lifetime.
In 2011 Samantha married her husband Joseph. She enjoys playing with their two daughters, shopping, reading, running and taking their dog on walks.
Emily became a member of the Braces for All Ages team in February 2020 and handles all aspects of sterilization in our Portage location. As a Sterilization Technician, Emily keeps our clinic sterilized beyond OSHA standards between our patient appointments.
Jordan is a Clinical Patient Manager at Braces for All Ages, PC and has been a member of our team since 2021. Jordan has however had 5 years previous orthodontic experience. As a Patient Manager, Jordan handles all aspects of patient care while assisting Dr. Brenda with all procedures. She educates her patients about their treatment while developing a strong relationship with them and their family.
Jordan is CPR Certified, Licensed in Dental Radiography and is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics.

Jordan is newly wed and they have a dog named Storm. Some of her favorite things to do are to spend time with family, be outside, read, travel and craft!
Sam Marsh
Braces for All Ages: 2022
Sam is a Patient Manager at Braces for All Ages and has been a member of our team since 2022. As a Patient Manager, Sam loves assisting Dr. Brenda in creating healthy airways and beautiful smiles.
Sam is licensed in Dental Radiography and is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics.
In her spare time, Sam loves spending time with her dog Moose that she adopted in 2020. When not walking or hiking with him, she can be found spending time with her best friends, who share her love for traveling and shopping.
Brandy Umbarger
Myofunctional Therapist
Year of hire: 2023
Brandy is a Myofunctional Therapist here at Braces for all Ages. Brandy loves guiding our patients through our myofunctional therapy program where she helps them restore normal oral function. She appreciates the opportunity to be a part of helping patients live their best life.
Brandy has her Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene and has been a licensed dental hygienist since 2012.
Brandy and her husband, Chad, have been married since 2008. They have two beautiful daughters, Whitney and Gwen. Brandy loves watching her daughters in dance and gymnastics, being active at their school, family vacations and family dance parties. Brandy is a lover of summer and when not in the office you may also find her reading, hiking, exercising and doing anything to stay active.
Demi Warn
Braces for All Ages: 2022
Demi is a Patient Manager and has been a member of our team since February of 2022. As a Patient Manager she assists Dr. Brenda bond appliances and braces to help our patients live a healthier life with the smile of their dreams.
Demi is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics and is in the process of becoming licensed in Dental Radiography.
Demi had her son Isaac in May of 2014. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her son and hanging out with family and friends.
Abbigail Anderson
Braces for All Ages: 2023
Abbi is a Patient Manager at Braces for All Ages and has been a member of our team since 2023. As a Patient Manager, Abbi handles all aspects of patient care.
Abbi is CPR certified and a member of the American Association of Orthodontics. She is currently in the process of becoming licensed in Dental Radiography.
Abbi enjoys assisting Dr. Brenda and helping her create beautiful smiles. Abbi attended dental vocational school during her senior year of high school. In her free time she enjoys showing horses at her Ranch Horse Shows, spending time with her family and her boyfriend, Jake.
